THE CREATION OF MAN

In the Quran, the subject of human reproduction leads to a multitude of statements that present a challenge to the embryologist seeking a human explanation for them. It was only after the emergence of basic science was to contribute to our biological knowledge, especially after the invention of the microscope, that man could understand such statements. It was impossible for the man in the early seventeenth century to express those ideas. There is nothing to indicate in these times, that men of the Middle East and Arabia knew anything more about this issue than men in Europe or elsewhere. Currently there are many Muslims with a clear understanding of the Koran and the natural sciences which have clearly recognized the comparisons made between the verses of the Quran about reproduction and human knowledge. Always remember the comment from a Muslim 18 years, certainly in Saudi Arabia, replying to a question of reproduction as described in the Koran. Quoting, he said “However, this book provides us with all the essential information of the topic. When I was in school they used the Koran to explain to me how the children were born, his books on sex education appeared on the scene late!”

In this respect particularly comparing between beliefs do in the days surrounding the Koran, which were full of superstitions and myths, and the contents of the Quran and modern science data, let’s surprised the degree of compatibility between it and the absence of any reference in the Qur’an with the misconceptions that prevailed at the time.

We will isolate now, all these verses, precise ideas concerning the complexity of liquid fertilizer and the fact that an infinitely small quantity is required to carry out fertilization, the “quintessence” – if it can be translated the Arabic word sulala. “

The implantation of the ovum in the female genital organ is well described in many verses with the word * Alaq, which is also the title of the Sura in which it appears:

“God formed man from a clot”

I do not think there is another more accurate translation for * Alaq that the use of its original meaning.

The development of the embryo in the uterus is briefly described, but is successful, because the simple words refer its exact ground state of growth. This is what we read in a verse of Surah Al Mu * minum (23:14)

“Then we drop a blood clot, the clot an embryo and embryo bones, which are clothed in flesh. Then, we made it another creature. Blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!”

The term “embryo” (Mudge) corresponds to the meaning given in the Arabic word when the clot passes this stage of development.

It is known that the bones develop inside this mass and which are then covered with muscles. This is the meaning of the term “flesh” (lahm).

The embryo goes through a state where the parties are in proportion and others not, with what later will be an individual. Maybe this is the meaning of the verse in Surah Al Haj (22:5) which reads as follows:

“Then you create a clot, then a mass of meat provided and without measure” And then we have a reference to the appearance of the senses and organs in Sura Sajda (32:9):

“[God] you assigned to the senses of sight, hearing and guts.”

Nothing here contradicts the modern data and, indeed, any incorrect ideas of the time have been introduced to the Qur’an.
