The prophecies in the Gospel of Barnabas

This Gospel is full of prophecies are clear about the Chosen Messenger. For example, says: “Allah said, Be patient, O Muhammad! … “” Your blessed name is Muhammad … “

“Oh, Allah! Send Your Messenger. O Muhammad! Come early to save the world. “

A look at the Gospel of Barnabas

There is no doubt that this Gospel is one of the Gospels which was known in ancient times. Books mentioned in the second and third centuries, but no mention of course, until a copy was discovered in the early eighteenth century. This copy is still in the palace library in Vienna.

When this book was published, it caused a stir at that time in Europe, between religious and scientific societies. The Arabic translation of this book has been published twice, the second edition was produced by Dar al Qalam in Kuwait.

I have personally read this book and I have looked carefully and noticed something that no one caught his eye. Although this book is authentic, has been distorted by Muslim hands undoubtedly have inserted into it things that do not belong to it. What brought me to this conclusion are the comments in Arabic were found in the margins of the original copy in Vienna rather exaggerated conditions in which the Gospel describes the Messenger. We believe that the Gospel foretells the coming of the Messenger, but we believe it is extremely unlikely to have spread among the People of the Book myths that spread among the Muslims after the coming of the Messenger and were attributed to him. In this Gospel we find that Allah gave to His Messenger Muhammad everything that He created all things for his sake, that He created before all things. In a passage narrated that the Messenger said: “Oh Lord, I remember when I created it, wanted to create the universe, paradise, angels and humanity for the sake of me, that they may glorify you through me. And I am Your servant. “

Elsewhere he says: “Oh Muhammad Be patient! For your sake I created the Paradise and the universe, and a large number of people who will give you … “

And: “This is for whose sake God created all things.”

And: “Before everything else, God created in His Messenger.”

These words are undoubtedly incorrect, and contradicts the truth before us. Allah created mankind, angels and jinn to worship Him, says in the Qur’an: (By the way I created the jinn and mankind except to worship Me) (51:56)

The first thing created was the pen, as it says in the hadith: “The first thing Allah created was the pen.” These exaggerated views spread among the Muslims that put them in the form of Hadith and are attributed to the Messenger Muhammad. These da’eef (weak) and maudû ‘(fabricated) Hadith are the following: “If it were not for you, I would not have created the universe” (Silsilah the Hadith to the Maudû’ah ua Da’eefah, hadith No. . 282) and the hadith “I was a Prophet when Adam was still between water and mud” (hadith no. 302.303). And the hadith: “I was the first of the Prophets to be created and the last to be sent” (Al Fauâ’id to Majmoo’ah by Al Shaukâni, pg. 326) and the hadith: “I created the world and residents so they could know how you estimated for me and that high your position before me. If not for you Oh Muhammad! I would not have created this world “(Tanzih the shari’a to Marfû’ah ‘an the ahadith to Da’eefah Maudû’ah ua to the page., 325)” Allah created me in His light, and He created Abu Bakr of my light “(from the same source, p.. 337).

If you compare these weak and fabricated Hadith, which is narrated in the Gospel of Barnabas, understand that you inserted these descriptions of him was of the same type as the one in whose mind was polluted with these kind of false ahadith.

There are also other things that are falsely attributed to the Messenger, which goes against the truth that we know. For example, says: “Hell will tremble because of the presence of the Messenger, peace be upon him, and the Fire will to cause suffering as the Messenger of Allah see Hell.” This goes against the clear statement of the Qur’an: ( They are not lessen [the torture] and will be desperate.) (43:75)

This book also describes Jesus as saying: “It is inappropriate untie the shoe of the Messenger of Allah.” Such a comment is not specific to one of the Messengers (46:35)

Indeed, this book describes the Messenger in conditions that involve disrespect. For example, says he will be like a mad man, and says that on the Day of Resurrection Allah will lose the memory.
