The Night of Decree: A Night Better Than a Thousand Months

Posted: Desember 25, 2010 in Uncategorized

Anas (radialláhu ‘anhu) narrates that: “On one occasion, at the beginning of Ramadan, the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu’ alayhi wa sallam) said:” A month has come upon you, it is a night better than thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its blessings will be deprived of all good, and none is deprived of his property except, who is completely lost. “

Commentary

Who could have any doubt about the misfortune of a person who is depriving itself of the great benefits of Laylatul Qadr (in fact there may be many of us). There are people who because of their work throughout the year remain awake at night, what for these people would have difficulty in staying awake during the nights of this month to devote to the worship of Allah Ta Allah and earn the reward of eighty years of ‘ibadah?

For them, this task should not be that difficult, but because of their lack of interest, do not feel the need in the heart, if they did, not only be able to get up one night, but many and it would be very easy.

“EVERYTHING IS STILL GOOD IN LOVE

BE FAIR OR NOT

PLEASURE IS ALL

SI HAYPLACER FOR THE HEART “

This need and desire we have to create it, after all, there was good reason for Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) to do long sentences until their feet swell, even though the good news and promises Tá Allah Allah had given him. We say that we are his followers.

Those who really appreciated this opportunity of `ibadah, did what was necessary to set an example for this Ummah. Left no room for criticism or hesitation saying, “Who could do better? or Who would be able to follow these examples? This is a matter of convincing the heart, for those who want to do something, even the most difficult issues present no problem. This can only spend with a real-Sheikh.

“IF YOU WANT A SUFFERING HEART,

SERVING THE POOR

THIS GEM IS NO

ON THE REAL TREASURE. “

Consider the examples of some illustrious sons of Islam. One of them was’ Umar (radialláhu ‘anhu), who after making his prayer of’ isha, I used to go home and stay in prayer during the night until he heard the adhan of fajr. We also have the example of pious jalifah ‘Uthman (radialláhu’ anhu) who, after having fasted all day, I used to stay up all night praying Salah also sleep a little during the first third of the night. It is known that he recited the entire Quran during the night in the first raka’ah. In the “Ihya` Ulúmud-Din “of Imam Ghazali (rahmatulláhi ‘alayhi), Abu Talib Makki mentions four men from the Tabi’i (people who saw the Sahabah (radialláhu’ anhum), in a state of magnet and died in a state of Imam), who used to do fajr salah wudoo the same as they had prayed the ‘isha. This has been narrated by many narrators authentic.

Shaddad (radialláhu ‘anhu) was one of the Sahabah who used to stay awake all night, going from side to side until it was fajr prayer. He said “Oh Allah! Fear Jahannam fire has been the dream of my eyes.” Aswad bin Yazid (radialláhu `anhu) then get some sleep between Maghrib and Isha prayers, used to stay in ‘ibadah throughout the night in Ramadan. Now, let a man like Ibn Sa’id Musáiyab (radialláhu ‘anhu) who was said he prayed the prayer of Fajr and Isha wudoo the same for fifty years. Bin Silah also Ashiam (radialláhu ‘anhu) who after being all night praying to Allah Ta Allah said, when came the dawn: “O Allah, I am not worthy to ask from you the Jannah, but everything I implore of Thee is of Jahannam save me. “

Qatadah (radialláhu ‘anhu) was a man who ended the complete recitation of the Qur’an every three nights during the first night of Ramadan, but in the last ten full he prayed every night. It says about Imam Abu Hanifah (rahmatulláhi ‘alayhi), being a well known fact that he prayed the prayer of’ isha and fajr with the same wudoo for forty years. When asked where they got the strength to do it, he replied: “It’s the response I made a du’a to Allah Ta’ala through the special blessing of His Name.” He just slept a little in the afternoon, about which he said: “In Ahadith we have been advised to do this.” In other words, even in the afternoon nap, I used to follow the sunnah. This same Imam, while reciting the Qur’an cried so much, that even his neighbors felt sorry for him. Once cried all night reciting over and over again the next verse of the Qur’an.

“But the time is your appointment and it will be even more terrible and bitter”

(Surah 54, The Moon: Ayah 46)

Ibrahim ibn Ad-ham (rahmatulláhi ‘alayhi) reached the point of not sleeping in Ramadan, day or night. Imam Shafi’i (rahmatulláhi ‘alayhi) used to recite the Qur’an sixty times during the prayer in the days and nights of Ramadan.

In addition to the examples mentioned here, there have been many pious souls who used to behave carefully about the mandates contained in the following verse:

“And I have not created the jinn and mankind except to worship Me”

(Surah Adh-Dháriyát [51], ayah 56)

Nothing is difficult for those who are willing to practice. These are examples of those who preceded us, but today there are many who feel the same devotion to Allah Ta’ala and serve according to their own time, make night into day worshiping. Even in these times of evil and corruption, there are those who follow the example of Rasulullah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), the comfort does not prevent them from being diligent in their devotion, nor the affairs of worldly life.

The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala said: “O son of Adam! Free your time for my service and will enrich regardless, I deliver you from the needs and poverty departs from you. Otherwise you will fill your obligations and duties and poverty and need not disappear. “Certainly today we see the truth of this daily.
