Unfortunately some contemporary teachings on Islam were misunderstood or misrepresented in the Christian world. Here are the true Islamic point of view of various concepts of Islam:
a) The status of women. Islam does not practice any form of discrimination against women, but Islam if you tell everyone how you can improve in the areas for potential capacity of each sex and, therefore, the respective responsibilities of each, which are equally important, although not exactly identical.
b) Marriage and Divorce: Marriage is a sacred contract and important for men and women and offers a step towards improving life healthy and happy. Islam gives both men and women the right to divorce as a last resort, but not as a first intention.
c) The struggle, effort and “jihad” .- Those who believed in Islam that jihad means holy war. ” Jihad is an effort and a duty of Muslims individually or in groups, for the happiness of society and the common good, provided that this struggle is carried out in the name of God and to enlist their divine blessing and pleasure without any personal goal. In Islam are divine laws to govern a country, thus breaking down the corrupt regimes made by the tyrants. Jihad is an effort or struggle to achieve the divine goal which is to reform mankind on this earth, but to achieve it have to use the hand, tongue, pen and all the financial resources available with the sole intention of obeying and please God to create a society of justice, equality, tolerance and respect without allowing domain or group interests to the detriment of other human beings.
How does one become a Muslim?
Just to say “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad Allah rasúlu dun” with conviction a convert to Islam and becomes Muslim. This phrase means: “There is no true god but God (Allah) and Muhammad is the messenger (prophet) of God.” The first part, “There is no true god but God,” means that no one has the right to be worshiped but God, and God has no partners or children in His kingdom. To be a Muslim one must also:
*
Believe that the Quran is the literal word of God, revealed by Him
*
Belief in the Day of Judgement (the Day of Resurrection) is true and will come to pass as God has promised in the Koran.
*
Accept Islam as their religion.
*
No worship none but Allah (God).
The Prophet Muhammad said: {The joy of God, when one of you turn to Him in repentance, is greater than any of you feel if he were riding his camel in the (bleak) desert, and it escapes him together with all its provisions, leaving it without the slightest hope. Man comes to a tree and takes shelter in its shade (awaiting death), it has lost all hope of finding his camel. So while he is in that state (of desperation), suddenly there appears his camel in front of you. What grabs the reins and screams from the depth of his joy: “O God, You are my servant and I am your Lord!” His mistake was motivated by the intensity of his joy.}
