Mohammad (may God bless and keep you in His holy peace!) Was born in the year 570 of the Christian era in the city of Mecka. in Arabia. Descended from a distinguished Arab family, the Quraysh. Received his first revelation at the age of forty. Since he started preaching Islam, he and the believers, were subjected to all kinds of tests and it was necessary that they move with their colleagues in Medina, another town in northern Arabia.
During the brief period of twenty years, fulfilled its mission of a prophet, and at the age of sixty three years delivering his soul to his Creator and was buried in the city of Medina. Mohammad (may God bless and keep you in His holy peace!) Lived an exemplary life for all humanity, the grandeur of man and salvation are to follow suit. His life is a reflection of the teachings of the Koran implemented.
Islam and its universal appeal
In his simple way of expressing the truth directly Islam strongly attracted to any mind that is sincere and rational. Islam offers a solution to all problems of life, is a guide to a higher life and happy that glories in all phases of our almighty and merciful Creator.
It is said that fifty-seven countries in the world where most people are Muslim. It is estimated that in 1980 the Christian era, the Muslim population has surpassed one billion people, approximately 1 / 4 of humanity.
Islam and the future Latin American
The Islamic heritage has been closely linked to Latin American culture. The mining towns of Peru and Bolivia still show labor and exiled Moorish craftsmen in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The royal chapel of Cholula in Mexico, is a true copy of the Great Mosque of Cordoba, with its domes and arches that console as a spiritual oasis in the Mexican desert.
Grandchildren of these craftsmen built the Cloister Mudéjar National University of San Carlos in Antigua Guatemala in the mid-seventeenth century, the retention date. It should be noted, that Hispanic Americans are Hispanic-Muslim heritage of about 800 years (750-1550), and a Christian heritage in Latin America of only about 400 years (1580 to 1980 or to date).
