Allah ta’ala says (which means), “That is the way the people who give you pleasure for them, not the way the people of wrath, nor the way the people who get lost.” (Surah al-Fatihah: 7) . Shaykh as-Sa’di rahimahullah explained that the essence of the straight path that would be obtained by recognizing the truth and practice it (see Taisir al-Karim ar-Rahman, p.. 39). Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen rahimahullah said, “With your words’ Ihdinash shirathal mustaqim ‘it means you have to ask Allah ta’ala useful knowledge and good works.” (Tafseer Juz’ Amma, things. 12).
Shaykh al-Badr Abdurrazzaq hafizhahullah said, “Even those who were given their blessing for the people of knowledge as well as charity. As for those who incurred the Wrath of people who are knowledgeable but not charity. Meanwhile, those who go astray are those who labor without a foundation of science. “(Al-’Ilmi Tsamrat al-’Amalu, p.. 14). Ibn al-Qayyim rahimahullah explain that the cause of people falling into error is the destruction of science and belief. While the cause of people mired in wrath is the destruction of faith and practice (see al-Fawa’id, p.. 21)
Allah ta’ala says preach sayings of the Prophet ‘Isa’ alaihis greeting (which means), “So fear Allah and obey you me. Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path. “(Surah Ali Imran: 50-51, see also Sura. Az-Zukhruf: 63-64). Shaykh as-Sa’di rahimahullah said, “Here, that is worship to God, devotion to Him, and obedience to His Messenger is the ‘straight path’ that leads to God and to His heaven, while the other path then it are the roads that plunged into hell. “(Taisir al-Karim ar-Rahman, p.. 132). Rahimahullah Ibn al-Qayyim said, “… Surely that’s only one truth, namely the straight path of Allah, there is no road that leads to him than the road. That is worship to God without His associate with anything, with how to run his shari’ah established through verbal His Messenger sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, not with [the foundation] lust and heresy-heretic … “( at-Tafseer al-Qayyim, p.. 116-117)
Allah ta’ala says (which means), “Did I not commanded to you, O descendants of Adam; Do you worship the devil. Indeed he is the real enemy for you. And serve Me. This is the straight path. “(Surah Yasin: 60-61). Shaykh as-Sa’di rahimahullah explained, that meant ‘obey the devil’ that covers all forms of unbelief and disobedience. The right path is to worship God, obey him, and rebelled against the devil (see Taisir al-Karim ar-Rahman, p.. 698)
