Ignorance is one of the main reasons people fall into disobedience and transgression, even into polytheism or unbelief.
Syeikhul rahimahullah Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: “Good son Adam is with faith and good deeds, and not get them out of kindness, except for two cases:
First: Ignorance, the opposite of science, so that its people would be misguided.
Second: Following lust and lust, both of which exist in the soul. So that people will follow lust and wrath (of God). ” (Majmu ‘Fatawa 15/242)
Likewise, those who worship God with folly, indeed, they are more damaging than building! As is said by some Salafush Salih:
من عبد الله بجهل, أفسد أكثر مما يصلح
Anyone who worship God with folly, he has made more damage than making good. (Majmu ‘Fatawa 25/281)
DEMAND LIABILITIES SCIENCE
Because of the danger of disease is so great ignorance, religion provides prescription drugs to eliminate the disease. Which requires its adherents to study engineering.
Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said:
طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم
Study is the duty of every Muslim. [HR. Ibn Majah, no: 224, dishahihkan by Sheikh Al-Albani in Saheeh Ibni Majah]
Similarly, Allah Ta’ala ordered the people to ask their clergy. Word of Allah:
فسئلوا أهل الذكر إن كنتم لا تعلمون
So ask yourselves to the people of knowledge, if you do not know. (Surah 21:7)
IS A SCIENCE
What is meant here is the science of science syar’i, the knowledge that God revealed to His Messenger, and bequeathed to the clergy the inheritors of the Prophet.
Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said:
من سلك طريقا يطلب فيه علما سلك الله به طريقا من طرق الجنة وإن الملائكة لتضع أجنحتها رضا لطالب العلم وإن العالم ليستغفر له من في السموات ومن في الأرض والحيتان في جوف الماء وإن فضل العالم على العابد كفضل القمر ليلة البدر على سائر الكواكب وإن العلماء ورثة الأنبياء وإن الأنبياء لم يورثوا دينارا ولا درهما ورثوا العلم فمن أخذه أخذ بحظ وافر
Anyone pursuing a path to seek knowledge, surely it-with-God execute him on the street between the streets of heaven. And verily the angels spread their wings for reconciliation to thalibul ilmi (seekers of religious knowledge). And indeed an ‘alim is sought forgiveness by anyone who is in heaven and on earth, and by the fish in the water. And indeed the virtue of a ‘pious worship of experts such as the primacy of the full moon than all the stars. And verily the scholars were the inheritors of the Prophet. The Prophet did not leave dinars and dirhams, but pass on knowledge. Baramngsiapa who took it then he has taken part of many. [HR. Abu Dawud no: 3641, and this lafazhnya; Tirmidhi no: 3641; Ibn Majah no: 223; Ahmad 4 / 196; Darimi no: 1 / 98. Dihasankan Sheikh Salim Al-Hilali in Bahjatun Nazhirin 2 / 470, hadith no: 1388]
Let us look at this great hadith. When the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam explain the virtues of their studies at the beginning of the sentence, and the primacy of’ alim (the knowledgeable) in mid-sentence, then at the end of his sentence n is meant to explain that science is the science which inherited the Prophets, the science of the religion of truth !
Sheikh Muhammad bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen rahimahullah said: “It is known that the knowledge passed down by the Prophet is the science of shari’ah of Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla, not the other. So that the Prophets are not inherited science and technology associated with it to man. “[Ul ilmi, p.: 11, by Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen]
This does not mean that the science world is forbidden or not useful. Even the world of science is needed by people also need to be studied with good intentions.
He also said: “What we meant was syar’i science, namely: the knowledge handed down by Allah to His Messenger, in the form of explanations and instructions. So science is getting praise and flattery is the revelation of science, science handed down by God. ” [Ul ilmi, p.: 11, by Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen]
Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam also said:
نضر الله امرأ سمع مقالتي فبلغها فرب حامل فقه غير فقيه ورب حامل فقه إلى من هو أفقه منه
May Allah beautify the face of someone who has heard my words, and he delivered. Sometimes people who bring fiqh (the science; understanding; hadith of the Prophet) is not a jurist. Sometimes people who bring jurisprudence leads to a more fiqh (schools) from him. [HR. Ibn Majah no: 230, and this lafazhnya; Ahmad 5 / 183; Abu Dawud no: 3660; and others]
Imam Ibn Abdil rahimahullah Barr said: “He called saying he was n the name of science, for those who contemplate and understand it.” [Jami 'Bayanil Ilmi Wa Fadhlihi]
Hence, O my beloved brethren, the term science is not desired by Allah and His Messenger, except against the verses of the Qur’an, sunna Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam, or agreement of all people on an issue that eliminates disputes, and anything that can get closer to him. This is our duty, the Muslims, whether educated or lay. We must know and understand what is commanded by God and what He is forbidden.
DEMANDS virtue SCIENCE
Indeed virtue studying very much, here it is enough we mentioned some benefits from the above hadith that have been presented:
1. God makes it easy road to heaven for those who study.
2. Angels spread their wings for reconciliation to thalibul ilmi.
3. An ‘alim sought forgiveness by anyone who is in heaven and on earth, and by the fish in the water.
4. The virtues of a ‘pious worship of experts such as the primacy of the full moon than all the stars.
5. The scholars were the inheritors of the Prophet.
May Allah give encouragement to us all to study religion and practice it, so that to achieve success in the world and the hereafter.
