Do not Make Your Fasting futile

In the month of Ramadan, every Muslim has the obligation to run fast to keep hunger and thirst from dawn until sundown. But there among the Muslims who are fasting, he is not getting nothing but hunger and thirst that descend throat. This was spoken by the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam that honest again bring the news proper,

رب صائم حظه من صيامه الجوع والعطش

“How many people are fasting, but he did not get from his fast except hunger and thirst.” (Narrated Ath Thobroniy in Al Kabir and isnaad not why. Shaykh al-Albani in Shohih At Targib wa At Tarhib no. 1084 says that this hadith shohih ligoirihi-namely shohih seen from another point-)

What’s behind all this? Why practice fasting person is not teranggap, when he had difficulty holding thirst from dawn until sunset?

1. Stay away from words of Lies (az zuur)

These are words that make fasting a Muslim could be in vain, only to feel hunger and thirst alone.

From Abu Hurairah, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

من لم يدع قول الزور والعمل به فليس لله حاجة فى أن يدع طعامه وشرابه

“Whoever does not abandon false speech even practice it, then God does not need of hungry and thirsty that she was resistant.” (Narrated by Bukhari no. 1903)

What is az zuur? As Suyuti said that az zuur is tell lies and slanders (buhtan). While the practice it means doing heinous act which is a consequence that God has forbidden. (Syarh Sunan Ibn Majah, 1 / 121, Maktabah Syamilah)

2. Stay away from words lagwu (in vain) and rofats (porn words)

The second practice that makes practice fasting person to be in vain is the word lagwu and rofats.

From Abu Hurairah, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

ليس الصيام من الأكل والشرب, إنما الصيام من اللغو والرفث, فإن سابك أحد أو جهل عليك فلتقل: إني صائم, إني صائم

“Fasting is not just withhold food and drink alone. However, fasting is to refrain from words and rofats lagwu. If there is someone who mencelamu or nosy do to you, say to him, “I’m fasting, I’m fasting”. “(Narrated by Ibn Majah and Hakim. Shaykh al-Albani in Shohih At Targib wa At Tarhib no. 1082 says that this hadith shohih )

What is a lagwu? In Fathul Bari (3 / 346), Al Akhfasy said,

اللغو الكلام الذي لا أصل له من الباطل وشبهه

“Lagwu is futile words and semisalnya are not useful.”

Then what is meant by rofats? In Bari Fath (5 / 157), Ibn Hajar said:

ويطلق على التعريض به وعلى الفحش في القول

“The term Rofats used in the sense of ‘a metaphor for sexual intercourse’ and all the nasty words.”

Al-Azhari said:

الرفث اسم جامع لكل ما يريده الرجل من المرأة

“The term rofats is a term for every thing that men want in women.” Or in other words are words rofats porn.

That’s among the things that can make the practice a person to be in vain. How many people are still doing like this, so simply remove the dirty words, lies, vanity and gossip of others.

3. Stay away from Pula Various Maksiat

Remember that fasting is not only hunger and thirst, but one who is fasting should also stay away from the unlawful act. Look at my brother who is very good advice from Ibn al-Hanbali Rojab follows:

“Know, deeds taqarrub (closer) to Allah Ta’ala by leaving a variety of lust that permissible when out fast (like eating or sex with his wife,-pen) will not be perfect until someone closer to God by leaving the case that he bans is a lie, act zholim, hostility among men in the matter of blood, treasure and honor. “(Latho’if Al Ma’arif, 1 / 168, Ash Syamilah)

Jabir ibn ‘Abdillah convey a very good advice:

“If you fast it should pendengaranmu, sight and lisanmu also fasted from lies and things forbidden, and do not be hurt neighbors. Be calm and berwibawalah in puasamu day. Do not make the day and day puasamu berpuasamu not the same. “(See Latho’if Al Ma’arif, 1 / 168, Ash Syamilah)

That ugly-ugly fasting is only hunger and thirst only, while the sinners are still being conducted. Should someone hold the other limb of the sinner. Ibn Rojab said,

أهون الصيام ترك الشراب و الطعام

“The lowest level of fasting drink and eat just leave alone.”

That was fast most people today. When Ramadan and outside of Ramadan, the condition is the same. Still immoral way. And together like this has been banned in the words of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, but it is not known and simply ignored by them.

From Ibn Abbas, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

لا يخلون رجل بامرأة إلا مع ذى محرم

“Let not a man alone with a woman unless it together mahramnya.” (Narrated by Bukhari, no. 5233)

Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam also said:

ألا لا يخلون رجل بامرأة لا تحل له, فإن ثالثهما الشيطان, إلا محرم

“Let not a man alone with a woman who is not lawful for him because actually syaithan is the third person in between them except where the joint mahromnya. (Narrated by Ahmad no. 15 734. Syu’aib Sheikh Al Arnauth said this hadith shohih ligoirihi-shohih viewed from another point-)

Moreover, in courting each other, there must be looked at. In fact, our Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam has ordered us away-view of the opposite sex. However, people who get taufik from God alone who can prevent this kind. From Jarir ibn Abdillah, he said,

سألت رسول الله – صلى الله عليه وسلم – عن نظر الفجاءة فأمرنى أن أصرف بصرى.

I asked the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam about the view that only briefly (not intentionally). Then the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam commanded me so I quickly turned my gaze. (Narrated by Muslim, no. 5770)

If outside of Ramadan, just this kind of immoral acts are clearly forbidden in the month of Ramadan is certainly more assertive again ban. May we include people who have taufik from God to stay away from this immoral variety.

Lies Are Saying and Doing With Maksiat, Fasting Someone Being Cancel?

To explain this, consider the words of Ibn Rojab follows, “closer to Allah Ta’ala is permissible to leave the matter will not be perfect until someone refine them by leaving acts unlawful. Whoever is doing the unlawful (such as lying) and then he brought themselves closer to God by leaving a permissible (such as eating in the month of Ramadan), then this is the same as someone who must then leave him to do the sunnah. Although this kind of fasting people still considered valid opinion jumhur (majority of scholars) that people who do this kind are not commanded to repeat (mengqodho ‘) fasting. The reason is because the practice was canceled when someone does something which is forbidden due to special causes and is not void if you do a prohibited act is not due to special reasons. This is the opinion of the majority of scholars. “

Ibn Hajar in al-Fath (6 / 129) also said about the hadith sayings zuur (lie) and practice it:

“The majority of scholars take the meaning of this prohibition on pengharaman meaning, while the cancellation is only devoted to eating, drinking and Jima ‘(sexual relationships).”

At ‘Ali Al Qori in Mirqotul Mafatih Syarh Misykatul Mashobih (6 / 308) said, “People who fast as this same situation with people who pilgrimage that is the reward anyway (ashlu) is not canceled, but perfection is not the reward he obtained. Such people will get the reward of fasting as well as sin because sin which he did. “

In conclusion: A person who still likes to do immoral in the month of Ramadan as saying lies, slander, and other forms of immoral not Invalidate fast, so fast is still valid, but he did not get the perfect reward with Allah. -May we be kept away from doing things like this-

Brother, let us not waste our fast with just getting hungry and thirsty only. Let us stay away from things that can reduce the perfection reward our fasting. It is losing people who spent so abundant rewards of fasting that he did. How big is the abundant reward? Let us think together the following hadith.

In a report narrated by Muslim, from Abu Hurayrah radi ‘anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu’ alaihi wa sallam said,

«كل عمل ابن آدم يضاعف الحسنة عشر أمثالها إلى سبعمائة ضعف قال الله عز وجل إلا الصوم فإنه لى وأنا أجزى به يدع شهوته وطعامه من أجلى»

“Every son of Adam good deeds will be multiplied into 10 to 700 times of such kindness. Allah Almighty says (which means), “Except for fasting, for my deeds and I will be back because he had left the lust and food for My sake.” (Narrated by Muslim, no. 1151)

Look at my brother, to practice other than the fasting will be rewarded with 10 to 700 times of such kindness. However, look at the practice of fasting, especially for these deeds of God himself who will respond. Then how much reward to practice fasting? To better understand the purpose of the above hadith, Ibn Rojab consider the following explanation:

“The above hadith is about fasting exception of deeds which doubled to 10 good up to 700 such kindness. Especially for fast, unlimited reward crease in the numbers earlier. Even Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla would double the reward of the fasting until the numbers are infinite. The reason for fasting is similar to the patient. Regarding the reward patience, Allah ta’ala says,

إنما يوفى الصابرون أجرهم بغير حساب

“Only those who are patient are rewarded with a reward without measure.” (Surah Az Zumar [39]: 10). Ramadan also called the month of patience. Also in another hadith, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said, “Fasting is half of patience.” (Narrated by Tirmidhi, Shaykh al-Albani in Shohih Dho’if wa al-Jami’ Ash Shogir no. 2658 says that this hadith dho’if ,-pen)

Patience, there are three kinds of patience in undergoing obedience, patience and patience in the ban away in the face of God’s destiny was painful. And there are three types of fasting is patience. Inside are looking forward in doing obedience, there are also steadfast in God’s away from a ban that is away from various kinds of lust. In fasting there is also a patient of hunger, thirst, soul and body felt weak. ذلك بأنهم لا يصيبهم ظمأ ولا نصب ولا مخمصة في سبيل الله ولا يطئون موطئا يغيظ الكفار ولا ينالون من عدو نيلا إلا كتب لهم به عمل صالح إن الله لا يضيع أجر المحسنين

“That is because they are not overwritten thirst, exhaustion and hunger in the way of Allah, and not (also) stepped on a place that evokes anger the unbelievers, and not impose anything catastrophic to the enemy, but dituliskanlah for those with which such a pious charity. Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good. “(Surat At-Tauba [9]: 120).”-So the explanation of Ibn Rojab (in Latho’if Al Ma’arif, 1 / 168) who reveals secrets how fast someone can get an infinite reward, that is because in the fast there longanimity .-

Brother, once again, you must not waste it puasamu. Do not until you just get hungry and thirsty course, then you remove the reward is so abundant and infinite deeds with Allah from such puasamu.

Fill your days in this holy month with useful deeds, not by a futile act, or even contain immoral. Do you think that because of fear of sinner and a futile case, then better be filled with sleep. Look at the role models we give an example to us to do much good as a lot of charity, reading the Qur’an, many of remembrance and i’tikaf in the month of Ramadan. Take advantage of your time in this blessed month with a variety of good and shun the various kinds of immoral.

May Allah give us guidance, piety, ability to avoid the ban and provided a sense of adequacy.

Alhamdulillahilladzi bi ni’matihi tatimmush sholihaat, sallallaahu wa ‘ala Muhammad nabiyyina wa’ ala alihi shohbihi wa wa sallam.
