Ionic bonds

Atoms combine by ionic bonds, exchange to complete eight electrons in their outermost orbitals. Which has four electrons in its “layer” outer, which passes more than four electrons also in the outermost orbital which is what, to be merged, ie with which to bind . The molecules formed by this type of bond have crystal structures (three dimensional). Common table salt (NaCl) is among the substances thus formed. Why are atoms that trend? What if they had none?

Until now only be defined in general terms why the bonds formed by atoms. Still does not understand why the atoms should adhere to that principle. Is it possible that the atoms themselves decide in its outermost orbital must have eight electrons? Definitely not. This is so critical behavior obviously lies beyond the atom because it has no intellect, will or conscience. That number eight is the key to the combination of atoms to form molecules, ie, the next step in the creation of matter and, consequently, the entire universe. If the atoms did not have this trend based on this principle, the molecules would not exist and therefore does not matter. But from the moment they were created and thanks to this tilt, the atoms have been serving in the formation of molecules and matter in a perfect manner.

Some atoms form new molecules through covalent bonds, sharing electrons in their orbitals externos25.
